When the fall colors change… Life feels cozier.
Wednesday’s are the day we talk about making a home. Doesn’t Autumn just start to make your home feel more cozy?
Of all the fall traditions, this one is so simple, and yet so elegant. My husband and I are driving up the canyon tonight with a picnic to see the colors. Nienie inspired it – doesn’t this inspire you?
It began, just like that.
Our annual Fall Colors Ride.
It began today since I noticed that the tips of the mountains out my window
were turning glorious colors.
Reds, oranges, browns, and bright yellows.
I am so happy!
After church, I piled the children in the familygator and we rode up
beautiful Provo Canyon to Midway- the same place that Mr. Nielson and I had our
wedding luncheon.
The autumn colors do something to me. Something indescribable.
It makes me happy, energized, and competently content- even when I feel so awful.
Every Sunday we will take the children to a new spot to show them
what Autumn does to the trees, mountains, and to my soul.
What are you going to do for fall!? Does fall renew your soul like it does Nienie’s?
It does amazing things for mine, that’s for sure.
Thanks Nienie.

Oh yah! That’s exactly what we do. But the leaves won’t change colors in our canyons for another week or so.
Thanks for reminding me!
I don’t even like fall. I hate that it gets so much colder, and have to do three times as much laundry because the kids wear twice as much clothes.
Oh… Coziness doesn’t even begin to describe how wonderful this season is. I can’t believe how excited I am to see the leaves fall.
My kids love it. I can’t wait for the leaves to start falling off down here in the neighborhoods… Nothing says Fall like hot chocolate, and jumping in the leaves.
We’re going up this Friday. We will probably take a picnic now too… Great idea!
I don’t like the cold, but I love the season changes. I would prefer it were spring too, but Fall is SOOO pretty.
